The Atlantic Ocean has the pleasure to offer summer visitors a wide range of activities including foreshore fishing
But what is ESTRAN?
The foreshore is the part of the coastline located between the extreme limits of high and low tides. It is home to a multitude of small animals that take shelter in this natural habitat, such as the shells that we collect barely emerging from the sand.
Three types of foreshore :
- The rocky foreshore
- The sandy foreshore
- The muddy foreshore
To do this, there is no need for specific equipment; simply observe, bend over and scrape the sand using a hand scraper or a clam knife to discover the shells.
This region is very rich, especially during the high tide period when the sea recedes even further.
