Pornic, a holiday destination
Pornic, located in the Loire-Atlantique region and close to the Les Brillas campsite, has been hosting a carnival since 1880, and still welcomes as many celebrities as ever, including Lenin and Renoir, who painted 4 canvases here. The town continued to grow with the creation of a golf course, another casino and later a marina. Finally, a thalassotherapy centre was created in 1990, making Pornic a renowned seaside resort not to be missed during your holidays. Its proximity to the sea and the Atlantic Ocean guarantees a relaxing stay.
Don't miss the Prédaire and Joselière dolmens and the Mousseaux tumulus near Pornic. From your campsite near Pornic les Brillas, you will have access to beautiful walks combining heritage and fabulous landscapes during your stay with us.
The Château de Pornic is privately owned and can only be visited under the auspices of the tourist office.
Pornic has three churches, all of which are worth a visit: the stone bell tower of the church of Saint-Gilles, the bell tower-porch of the church of Saint-Pierre du Clion, the tombstone of the crusader Guillaume de Bretesches and the Virgin Mary in the church of Sainte-Marie.
Two gardens will enhance your visit, offering views of the Haute Perche canal and the Ria in the Gourmalon garden, as well as the castle and the old port in the Renoir garden.
You can also take the customs path for a view of the whole of the old port of Gourmalon and extend it to watch the multicoloured boats returning to the fishing port. For even more authenticity, don't hesitate to visit the fisheries located between the Boutinardière and Etang beaches. This is an opportunity to hire one of the fisheries and try your hand at the traditional fishing of the Loire estuary.
Finally, if you're a keen walker in an unspoilt landscape, there are two ponds offering tranquillity and harmony: the Etang de la Boutinardière and the Etang de la Boutinardière.

THE DELIGHTS OF SAINT-MICHEL
The world-famous Saint-Michel galettes are produced in the Pays de Loire region near Les Brillas campsite. A must stop! Located in Saint Michel Chef-Chef, just 15 minutes from the campsite, the biscuit factory offers a tour and tasting of over 200 different biscuits and cakes in the new St Michel Café.

Christelle is an oyster farmer and refiner, and opens the doors to her passion: the production and breeding of oysters. By prior arrangement, she will show you around her farm and share with you the secrets of her know-how. The visit ends with a convivial moment of oyster tasting.

- Nicolas Ferré, the last winegrower-harvester in the commune of Moutiers en Retz (where Les Brillas campsite is located), grows varieties such as Grolleau, Cabernet-franc, Sauvignon, Gamay, Chardonnay, Melon de Bourgogne, Folle-blanche and Abouriou on the slopes of the Baie de Bourgneuf.
