With 20 beaches and coves, including Saint-Nazaire, the Loire-Atlantique region offers breathtaking scenery. The beaches at Villès-Martin in Saint-Nazaire and Monsieur Hulot in Saint-Marc-sur-Mer provide easy access for people with reduced mobility, thanks to rolling paths and the provision of bathing chairs. Swimming equipment is available at the relevant lifeguard posts.
Three of the beaches have also been awarded the Blue Flag label, which covers water quality, waste treatment, beach surveillance and more. All these criteria ensure that holidaymakers choose a beach with facilities that minimise the impact of tourism.
